Our client provides mission-critical systems and communication support to key government agencies, ensuring the safety of the nation. If you’re looking for a position where you can make a measurable difference in the lives of others, our client is seeking a Test Development Engineer to join their dedicated team.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with Top Secret Clearance; TS/SCI with DHS Suitability is preferred

What You'll Do:

  • Plan testing schedule in coordination with project scope and delivery dates
  • Research and configure tools to improve testing and quality
  • Execute test procedures and scripts
  • Support test events including user acceptance tests and system verification and validation
  • Attend daily Agile Sprint meetings as well as team and customer meetings; provide test results and issues during the Agile Sprint daily stand-up meetings; provide test reports for each test
  • Document and monitor bug defects and resolution using JIRA bug tracking system
  • Create and update test plans, test procedures, test cases, test scripts, and test reports
  • Plan testing schedule in accordance with project scope and delivery dates

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and 5-8 years of experience; or Master's degree and 3-5 years of experience; or PhD and 0-2 years of experience
  • Proficiency working in Linux OS
  • Proficiency with open source automation tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin) in a Test Driven Development (TDD)/Behavior Driven Development (BDD) style approach
  • Assist in coding an automated framework in a TDD/BDD style approach
  • Proficiency with Java programming language
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Jenkins)
  • Experience with build tools (Maven)
  • Experience with scripting in one or more languages (Python, UNIX)
  • Experience with SCM solutions such as (Git, GitLab)
  • Experience working in Agile environment, working with methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience with using IDEs such as Eclipse with various plugins like Maven
  • Detail-oriented, quick learner with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of an integrated team, as well as independently
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills conducive to team building
  • Familiarity with information security
  • DHS experience
