Position Summary

Our higher education client is dedicated to enriching the minds and lives of individuals through rigorous study and research. Our client is seeking a Learning Designer to join their team.

Responsibilities of the Learning Designer:

  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to deliver high quality learning content
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders
  • Lead meetings and negotiate between areas
  • Establish and maintain data-driven best practices for the design, development, and evaluation of courses

Requirements of the Learning Designer:

  • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience designing and creating online instruction and assessment tools
  • Knowledge of instructional design, technologies, and pedagogy of higher education
  • Familiarity with current trends and developments in instructional design and higher education
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and assume a leadership role on a design and development team
  • Project management knowledge and skills including organizing, scheduling, leading teams, reporting and identifying risks
  • Work in a fast-paced deadline-driven, multimedia, team environment
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
