Position Summary

Our industry leading client is seeking a dedicated QA Analyst to be responsible for creating and maintaining automated tests in an Agile environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively to maintain a defect free environment.

Responsibilities of the Software Quality Analyst:

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure that everyone has a grasp on application functionality
  • Create and update test plans and cases while ensuring appropriate test methods and comprehensive documentation
  • Help with deployment decisions
  • Coordinate and lead projects as needed
  • Build automated tests that validate story-based functional requirements 
  • Document and escalate code defects per standard processes 
  • Investigate issues to identify root cause and develop tests to mimic the issue 

Requirements of the Software Quality Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in software QA testing
  • Experience with both automated and manual testing is required
  • Knowledge of software testing processes, tools, and methodologies 
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain code to others on the team
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge of a highly complex product
  • Strong knowledge of web application test automation frameworks, such as Selenium, Geb/Spock 
  • Experience with MS SQL Server or other relational databases with the ability to create queries 
  • Experience with restful services, SOAP, XML, JSON 
  • Experience with automated mobile testing 
  • Strong sense of responsibility and accountability and passion about quality of work 
  • Ability to work independently and desire to take ownership is required 
  • Able to work with the team processes even if you don’t personally agree with it 
  • Performance testing experience preferred 
  • Experience with CI tools and configuration
  • Motivated self-starter and a good team player
  • Eager to perform research and learn new skills
