Position Summary

Our client is an international information technology and solutions consulting company. The company is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the United States through the delivery of innovative, next-generation IT solutions. They are currently seeking a PHP Developer to join their dedicated team.

Responsibilities of the PHP Developer:

  • Perform development tasks throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - from initiation through implementation
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture and integration documentation
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure processes follow standards and meet user requirements
  • Pinpoint and recommend improvements/enhancements to existing processes to increase efficiency 
  • Collaborate with end users and provide high quality customer service

Requirements of the PHP Developer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of progressive systems development experience utilizing a full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • At least 5 years of experience with PHP development and associated tools
  • Ability to work with COTS development platforms and environments
  • Experience with CRM platforms and relational database design and development (MySQL and MS SQL Server)
  • Experience creating and consuming RESTful API services
  • Familiarity with MVC development models
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools 
  • Familiarity with OpenShift/Docker 
  • Windows and Linux experience
  • SVN and Git experience
  • Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and XP, Test Driven Development, and Scrum ceremonies
  • Experience working on Agile self-organized, cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Team player, flexible, responsible, and accountable
  • Strong problem solving and service delivery skills 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
