Position Summary

Our client is an international information technology and solutions consulting company. The company is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the United States through the delivery of innovative, next-generation IT solutions. They are currently seeking a Deputy Software Development Manager to join their dedicated team.

Due to federal security requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities of the Deputy Software Development Manager:

  • Manage technical projects to ensure on time delivery of project components
  • Oversee team and projects from end to end - initiation through implementation 
  • Manage development of applications in Java, PHP, and ColdFusion using Agile methodologies
  • Coordinate project meetings; track and report on project status
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise quality standards

Requirements of the Deputy Software Development Manager:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on software development, system integration, and testing experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in the following:
    • Managing technical software projects
    • Agile project management experience (Scrum, Kanban)
    • Supervising, mentoring, and offering development opportunities for engineering staff
