Our client is seeking an experienced Senior MuleSoft Engineer to join the integration platform team. This is a hands-on, technical role serving as the platform owner for a MuleSoft portfolio, driving technical delivery and modernization initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to work with integration technologies and AI-powered tools in a remote environment.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft integration solutions and APIs.
- Act as platform owner, ensuring performance, scalability, and governance of the MuleSoft portfolio.
- Lead technical discussions and mentor team members on best practices and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into integration solutions.
- Implement and manage Apigee API management solutions.
- Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies, including AI-powered development tools.
- Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to security standards.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of professional software development and integration experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on MuleSoft experience across ESB, API management, or integration platforms.
- Experience with Google Apigee API management.
- Proficiency in Java and RESTful API design.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and best practices.
- Proven ownership of complex technical projects from conception to delivery.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Preferred: Hospitality or travel industry knowledge.
- Preferred: Experience with AI-powered development tools and platforms.
- Preferred: MuleSoft or integration technology certifications.
- Preferred: Experience with modern DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred: Background in microservices architecture.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
