Our client seeks a senior systems and network engineer to perform advanced installation, operations, integration, and Tier III troubleshooting to maintain stable IT system operations. The role designs and oversees upgrades and new deployments across networking, systems, and storage, coordinating closely with cyber security. The engineer will manage performance and optimization of IP services and core protocols, and ensure integration of enterprise, regional, and local systems while sustaining operations or leading recovery efforts.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Secret clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Responsibilities:
- Install, operate, integrate, and troubleshoot complex IT systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Design and oversee upgrades and new implementations for networking, IT systems, and storage, coordinating with cyber security.
- Execute Tier III upgrades across networking, systems, and storage networking domains.
- Perform Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management for IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems to sustain current operations and lead recovery when required.
Experience Requirements:
- Ten or more years of IT experience covering IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT.
- Demonstrated success in Tier III network and systems operations and troubleshooting.
- Experience coordinating with cyber security for secure designs and deployments.
Education Requirements:
- Current certification required: CCNP, CCDP, MTA, MCSA, or MCTS.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
