Our client seeks a senior copywriter to develop brand and talent marketing content that attracts top candidates. You will craft clear, consistent copy across the funnel for video, social, web, events, paid media, and display. You will collaborate with art directors, creative directors, and marketing partners to deliver work that reflects brand voice, leverages insights, and supports recruitment enablement. The assignment is a year long with potential extension and is remote friendly with a preference for Richmond or Mclean for periodic team events.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $35.00 to $45.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Craft messaging for print and digital channels for current, new, and prospective audiences.
- Write headlines and translate complex or legal language into user friendly copy.
- Brainstorm concepts and execute detail oriented deliverables.
- Collaborate with art directors, creative directors, and brand and marketing strategists.
- Partner with internal marketing and line of business teams.
- Create marketing that cuts through noise and reflects brand strategy.
- Use strategy and consumer insights to inform creative decisions.
- Drive integrated thinking across channels, products, and audiences while maintaining brand consistency.
- Advocate for processes that improve customer experiences and strengthen the brand.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
- Deliver error free work with strong attention to detail and best practices.
- Decide when to leverage existing solutions versus building from scratch.
- Clarify project goals, take direction, and ask questions as needed.
- Present work persuasively to diverse audiences.
Experience Requirements:
- Attention to detail and ability to connect work across the customer or candidate journey.
- Ability to engage subject matter experts, brand standards, and channel specialists appropriately.
- Ability to communicate rationale behind copy to managers and partners.
- Experience rooting copy in benefits, motivators, and barriers for target audiences.
- Judgment to balance playful and direct tones based on channel and context.
- Curiosity and thoroughness in gathering full context, resources, and prior work from partners.
- At least 2 years of copywriting or creative writing experience.
- Experience delivering brand identity and voice across multiple initiatives, preferably in an enterprise environment.
- Understanding of recruitment marketing is a plus.
- Experience in one or more areas: Talent Marketing, B2B, Experiential, Performance, or Direct Response.
- Experience in financial services is preferred.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or military experience.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
