We have a great opportunity for a skilled and experienced Application Security Engineer with our client, a Fortune 500 Media organization. Looking for candidates local to Denver.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $65 - $75 / hr. w2

Responsibilities of the Application Security Engineer:
  • Bring expert knowledge of security best practices in product development and translate appropriate steps for unique organization and market position
  • Guide application security initiatives utilizing research, business case development, scoping, and all phases of the product development lifecycle
  • Act as a specialist for key stakeholders on proper security development, hardening of systems, code scanning and vulnerability assessment and management
  • Understand digital best practices in accessibility, usability, requirement writing, agile development, software product management, web analytics and product lifecycle management
  • Define policies and procedures to minimize intrusions, malware events and vulnerability issues
  • Diagnose highly complex issues and evaluate, recommend, and execute the best resolution
  • Influence client's product set and advocate for excellence in all areas

Requirements of the Application Security Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in software security architecture (web and/or mobile applications security)
  • 6+ years of experience in technology product development/management environments
  • Experience protecting against security vulnerabilities including the OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization technologies, including SAML and OAuth
  • Keep current with trends and technological innovations in the security industry to continually strengthen our client's stance against cybersecurity threats and theft of service.
  • Proven knowledge of ethical hacking and exploitation
  • Ability to strategize solutions based on data analysis
  • Extensive foundation in Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Extensive knowledge of digital SDLC tools such as JIRA
  • Demonstrates strong business sense and sense of urgency to achieve business results
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
