Our government client is looking for an Application Tester to join their team.
Due to federal security requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen. Responsibilities of the Application Tester: - Plan and develop functional test plans and for all phases of testing
- Design, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts
- Generate test data
- Verify results and produce test summaries and defect reports
- Identify defects and requirement discrepancies
- Generate defect change requests and reporting discrepancies
- Determine test objectives and standards by reviewing customer requirements
- Conduct application testing of web based systems
- Capture and document artifacts and records defects
- Verify and validate testing results by accessing and querying databases using MS Access or SQL
- Report test outcome by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, and displaying data
- Resolve testing problems by modifying testing methods during tests
- Participate in design reviews, analysis walkthroughs, and Peer Reviews
Requirements of the Application Tester: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 5 years of related experience
- Must have working knowledge of Rational ClearQuest & Rational ClearCase
