We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Content Analyst/Developer with our industry-leading client in Newton.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Content Analyst/Developer:

  • Identify use of pre-built CQL libraries for the measure
  • Identify parts of specification requiring net new CQL coding
  • Develop content and rule logic expressed in Clinical Quality Language (CQL)
  • Creation of unit tests to ensure content integrity
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of unit test/functional results within Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
  • Peer review of proposed content
  • Perform integration, acceptance testing and creation of documentation

Requirements of the Clinical Content Analyst/Developer:

  • 2-4+ years clinical/healthcare field experience in healthcare informatics or computer applications
  • Healthcare information technology experience
  • Basic knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling
  • Proficiency writing logic algorithms and queries with strong ability to understand Boolean and object-oriented programming
  • Clinical Quality Language (CQL) – new standard for expressing clinical quality measure and clinical decision support algorithms
  • Experience developing logic algorithms for clinical quality measure programs such as HEDIS / CMS Core / MIPS / MSSP ACO or other healthcare quality program experience
  • Programming experience and working within an Integrated Development Environment and testing framework
  • Demonstrated proficiency with various software programming languages and workflow build / management tools, including but not limited to: Java, Scala, Intellij, SBT, GitLab or comparable, TortoiseGit or comparable, TeamCity or comparable
  • Demonstrated ability to work with various database models and code writing expertise. Knowledge of FHIR, QUICK or QDM data models a plus
  • SQL or other technology querying proficiency
  • Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Confluence, JIRA
