Job Description

We have an exciting 100% remote opportunity for a Content Developers with our industry-leading client.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance.  

Rate: $50 - $54 / hr. w2


Responsibilities:
  • Conduct content assessment and content inventory 
  • Research and author web pages that serve both technical and nontechnical audiences using AP style, plain language, and other standards 
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to develop content strategies 
  • Edit and produce grammatically correct content 
  • Develop key words and taxonomy for web pages and content 
  • Collaborate with a team of user researchers, business analysts, and designers. 
  • Facilitate workshops and user testing and present work to stakeholders. 
  • Create, publishing, and archive engaging written, graphic, and multimedia web content that resonates with target audiences. 
  • Facilitate the ideation, prototyping, design, and implementation of new, innovative approaches to content delivery and user engagement. 
  • Contribute to efforts to define and analyze performance metrics that align to content strategy goals and organizational priorities. 
  • Ensure adherence to Section 508 and plain language standards. 

Requirements:

  •  Bachelor's or master's degree in information science, English, journalism, or a related field is highly preferred. 
  • 3+ years of professional experience in content management, library science or information architecture. 
  • Experience writing content for the web, including technical writing experience 
  • Expert in M.S. word and M.S. PowerPoint 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the 4 main IA system components: organization systems, labeling systems, navigation systems, and searching systems. 
  • Experience creating, editing, and publishing dynamic web content, to include page banners, infographics. 
  • Experience drafting, publishing, and archiving written and visual content in a content management system (CMS) 
  • Experience analyzing and refining written content to meet section 508 accessibility, plain language, and organizational style guide standards. 
  • A meticulous attention to detail, including the ability to catch and resolve issues before they become problems. 

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
