Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of higher education information and services to individuals and their families. They are committed to developing technologies to ensure students have all the tools they may need to succeed. Our client is currently seeking a Copyeditor to join their dedicated team.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Copyeditor:

  • Ensure proper grammar, trademarks, and copyrights
  • Responsible for editorial quality and accuracy of all reviewed publications and marketing material
  • Collaborate across he organization to maintain open communication

Requirements of the Copyeditor:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 4 years of copyediting experience
  • Strong editorial ability 
  • Thorough knowledge of editing PDFs and Microsoft Word, particularly the track changes function
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard editorial style guides, especially Chicago Manual of Style and Associated Press
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, solve problems, and make decisions quickly and effectively
