Are you a passionate Mainframe COBOL Developer?

If you'd like to partner with a leading federal integrator, we may have the ideal role for you in Baltimore.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities of the Mainframe COBOL Developer:
  • Analyze, design, and develop COBOL, JCL, and DB2 applications
  • Perform unit testing and system testing, support independent V&V testing, and customer integration testing
  • Participate in customer meetings to recommend solutions to business needs and problems
  • Recognize, diagnose, research, and resolve system and design concerns
  • Ensure change management processes are followed and documented
Requirements of the Mainframe COBOL Developer:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience
  • Strong COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM experience
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to multitask
