Our higher education client is dedicated to enriching the lives of their students through immersive and rigorous studies. They are devoted to providing a rich and diverse environment among both students and staff. Our client is currently seeking a passionate Network Engineer to join their team.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Network Engineer:

  • Manage overall network health
  • Perform some project management functions
  • Monitor network for performance issues
  • Proactively recommend preventive maintenance
  • Provide through documentation
  • Offer support for level II troubleshooting

Requirements of the Network Engineer:

  • Solid background in network administration
  • Hands-on experience with some: switching and routing; Cisco IOS, Wireshark, DNS, DHCP
  • Understanding of communication protocols and network operating systems
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail
  • Strong technical writing and interpersonal communications skills
  • Focus on delivery high quality customer service
  • Experience working on small to medium sized network projects
