Our client, a leader in financial services, needs a Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle to join their dedicated team. Preference for Westlake, though Durham, NC is also acceptable.

Responsibilities of the Oracle DBA: - Apply experience and domain expertise to help implement standard methodologies from a data perspective
- Provide analytical inputs and insights to team when needed and overall guidance to team in line with business unit priorities
- Define, own, and drive initiatives within the team that increase efficiency and contribute to the business unit
Requirements of the Oracle DBA:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of relevant experience, GoldenGate/RAC required
- Expertise and experience in Oracle SQL tuning and instance tuning
- Demonstrated understanding of cloud environments (AWS) and experience managing large scale environments in cloud
- Experience working with application development and performance teams on tuning database components during the design to deployment phases in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, RAC, and GoldenGate
- In-depth knowledge of cloud components (AWS) including databases, underlying infrastructure, and related components
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle RAC, Oracle Performance and Tuning, and SQL Tuning
- Knowledge of big data/NoSQL is nice to have
