Eliassen Group is partnered with a global consulting organization focused on building from scratch applications systems for federal government clients.
Due to this position supporting federal government business, qualified candidates will need to obtain a Public Trust federal clearance. This role is NOT open to third party agencies.

Responsibilities of the PostgreSQL Database Developer: - Review VPC setup, create and build DB cluster and PostgreSQL databases
- Maintain DB clusters, monitor performance, and provide recommendations, and integrate with other AWS services
- Migrate data to the RDS Postgres databases, refresh and restore
- Administer the PostgreSQL databases in an AWS environment
- Develop database designs in accordance with customer requirements
- Implement database security and performance tuning
- Provide technical guidance to the team on day-day operations
Core Requirements of the PostgreSQL Database Developer: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 years of professional work experience in AWS RDS and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as Redshift, Aurora, MongoDB, MS SQL
- Expert level experience with the following:
- Database Design
- SQL
- Database Security, Audit Trail
- Database cross region replication, Disaster Recovery, Backup and Recovery, Migration
- Performance Tuning. Monitoring tools, Data encryption at rest
