Our financial services client is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join their team.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Pay Rate: $70.00 - $75.00/hr on W2

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.


Responsibilities of the Principal Software Engineer:
  • Assist in coordinating multiple development work streams through integration
  • Ensure design is scalable and extensible and as per Architecture Blueprints
  • Define, maintain, and support Java development environment and standard methodologies
  • Assist in identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of problems within the production and nonproduction environment
  • Perform design, code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using Open-Source frameworks
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members
  • Give to continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Consumer adoption of new API products
  • Decommissioning legacy assets in line with enterprise goals and objectives
Requirements of the Principal Software Engineer:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 10 years of full stack development experience
  • At least 7 years of development experience in Database development (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Experience delivering secure applications and working with SCA tools such as mend or Veracode
  • Strong technical design and analysis skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working Knowledge of API management software such as Apigee
  • Understanding & hands on knowledge of docker, cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS or azure)
  • Able to clearly detail and eloquent designs to all partners
