Are you a knowledgeable Agile Program Manager with the capability to lead a large scale application re-platform initiative?

Are you interested in providing subject matter expertise, direction, and coaching on Agile best practices across a range of teams?

If so, we may have the ideal opportunity for you with our client in Stamford!

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities of the Agile Program Manager:

  • Lead and coach Agile teams: Claims, Accounting, Cash, EDI, Underwriting, Retro, Reporting, and Data Conversion
  • Facilitate PI planning readiness through fostering a continuous exploration process
  • Facilitate Agile processes at the program/train level
  • Foster communication and collaboration between Agile teams within the Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Removes barrier and impediments to ART's effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive implementation at the enterprise-level
  • Track and report on key ART metrics, including business value delivery and any impediments
Requirements of the Agile Program Manager:
  • Degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent and at least 10 years of related IT experience
  • Knowledge of release trains for a software development team and the ability to apply SAFe principles
  • Extensive knowledge and application of servant-leadership principles
  • Effective at enabling conflict-resolution, empowerment, and transparency
  • Experience defining and improving business processes
  • Excellent leadership skills for effective stakeholder management
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
  • Agile certifications: Agile Practitioner, SAFe certified Release Train Engineer preferred
  • PMP or knowledge of insurance a plus
