Job Description

We're looking for a Risk and Compliance Analyst to oversee our financial client's payments compliance and risk management program. This role can be 100% remote, but candidates close to the Richmond or McLean area are preferred.

Responsibilities of the Risk and Compliance Analyst:
  • Evaluate opportunities and make changes that promote compliance and decrease risk to the organziation
  • Use internal risk management system and processes to identify, investigate, and remediate risk or noncompliance
  • Improve and execute the workflow for Collections when financial losses resulting from credit or fraud risk happen
  • Conduct regular merchant reviews within the portfolio to identify abnormal behavior and ensure we have up-to-date information
  • Develop and maintain global Risk, Anti-Money Laundering, and Underwriting policies to ensure regulatory compliance 
  • Maintain awareness of the current regulatory environment and monitor for new and emerging legislation that may impact existing or new services
Requirements of the Risk and Compliance Analyst:
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with an emphasis on investigation and research
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills; ability to independently manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates expertise and knowledge through their ability to simplify complex topics relevant to the payment industry
  • Ability to successfully navigate difficult and/or confidential conversations with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to understand legal and regulatory documents
