Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master for a large client in Boston, MA! You will be called upon to utilize your influence, leadership, project management skills, and knowledge of agile to deliver customer value and to increase the effectiveness and velocity of the Scrum team.

Responsibilities of the Scrum Master:

  • Guide, coach, and motivate the team with the goal of increasing productivity
  • Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies
  • Empower the team and remove impediments
  • Oversee and manage scope, timeline, quality, goals and deliverables that support business goals
  • Monitor schedule and cost performance

Requirements of the Scrum Master:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master within the SDLC
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field required
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) 
  • 5+ years of experience with agile practices, patterns, and techniques
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games etc.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA, or at least a working knowledge of how a Scrum Master works with JIRA (defect tracking, etc.)
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Passionate about Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
