Job Description

**Ideally onsite in Durham, but open to remote candidates on the East Coast.**

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Scrum Master to join our industry-leading client. You will facilitate and monitor team progress and performance and help drive continuous improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities of the Scrum Master:
  • Work with a team to advise and oversee performance against Agile values
  • Maintain and update team process metrics and artifacts to ensure clear communication to partners
  • Leverage expertise and leadership to influence and gain consensus on impediment removal
  • Guide team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
  • Facilitate sprint planning, stand ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
  • Encourage Agile behaviors, reinforce practices, norms, ceremonies, and provide overall support
  • Identify team improvement opportunities and look externally for standard methodologies to support continuous improvement
  • Ensure timely completion of work
Requirements of the Scrum Master:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated expertise in application of Agile/Scrum principles, including use of Jira
  • Ability to coach a team and partners on Agile practices and ensure alignment to Agile methodology
  • Comfortable working with business partners to coach/guide them through Agile requirements writing
  • Communicate clearly and ability to deliver complex messages and guide new concepts
  • Ability to coach and mentor teams to improve progress to potential
  • Proven ability to drive teams to success using Agile/scrum/Lean practices
  • Project Management expertise
  • Certified Scrum Master
