Job Description

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Master with a strong technical background. If you'd like to guide and motivate teams to follow Agile best practices while maintaining full remote flexibility, this may be the role for you!

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Due to federal security contract requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities of the Scrum Master:
  • Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies 
  • Mentor and coach teams on Agile best practices
  • Enable teams to self-organize and self-manage
  • Work with product team on release plans and backlogs
  • Motivate teams; ensure collective responsibility of assigned work
  • Identify, address, and communicate project risks, dependencies, and team impediments
Requirements of the Scrum Master:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience; CSM and/or PMI-ACP
  • Experience with Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe
  • Experience guiding cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
  • Familiarity with Agile principles: CI, TDD, unit testing, pair programming, Scrum ceremonies
  • Strong technical background performing development and testing activities 
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of JIRA
