Primarily remote; onsite in Baltimore as required

Our client, a trusted federal innovator, needs a Senior RedHat Administrator to support RHEL tasks and develop new approaches to drive operational efficiencies. 

Due to federal security contract requirements, applicant must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities of the Senior RedHat Administrator:

• Assist technical leads in implementing systems and software updates
• Deploy RHEL patches and platform updates
• Document processes, procedures and configurations
• Perform daily operations support functions, including problem isolation and resolution
• Provide status updates of task and project updates
• Provide system administration support
• Troubleshoot platform and application issues

Requirements of the Senior RedHat Administrator:

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in a training related field
• 5+ years of experience as a RHEL 7.x/8.x Platform Administrator
• 5+ years of experience with performance tuning & troubleshooting, identifying and resolving issues
• 5+ years of experience working virtual platforms
• 5+ years of experience working with Ansible playbooks
• 3+ years of experience with scripting languages for automation tasks and deployments 
• Expertise in the Linux command-line environment
