Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support general accounting activities, including financial statement and report preparation.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant:
  • Provide accounting support for day to day operations and monthly close
  • Leverage understanding of general accounting principles to prepare general ledger entries
  • Complete account reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Prepare financial statements and reports 
  • Coordinate and prepare for financial audits
  • Document and develop department processes
  • Maintain files and records
Requirements of the Senior Staff Accountant:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related preferred
  • At least 5 years of general accounting experience
  • Knowledge of accounting software: JD Edwards and Microsoft applications, including Access and Excel
  • Clear and effective communication skills
