We’re looking for a skilled Software QA Engineer to serve as a team member in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, project-oriented computing environment. The job requires an excellent working knowledge of the testing methodologies and the quality processes, and you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans using technical requirements and design specifications as input, analyzing test results, performing data validation, tracking defects, and providing regular status. Someone who is highly skilled in using different techniques while performing testing tasks related to database, backend processes, and front-end applications will excel here. You must also have the ability to guide & mentor team members.

Responsibilities of the Software QA Engineer:
  • Establish methodologies, standards, and procedures for requirements analysis, test plan preparation, test procedure development and execution, documentation of results, and reporting.
  • Write test cases, execute them, analyze test results, perform data validation, track defects, and provide regular status
  • Use different techniques while performing testing tasks related to database, backend processes, and front-end applications
  • Defects documentation and verification
  • Troubleshoot Test environment-related issues and capture the required logs
  • Responsible for mentoring team members.
Qualifications for the Software QA Engineer:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Certified in any of the following software testing-related certifications is a plus: Certified Agile Software Test Professional (CASTP), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP), Certified Test Manager (CTM), or similar
  • Experience in SOAP/REST Webservices/APIs testing.
  • Hands-on experience in writing simple to complex PL/SQL queries.
  • Experience in application deployment on WebLogic or equivalent Application Server and debugging the Application Server-related issues.
  • Experience in testing Queue based messaging (JMS) applications using tools like SoapUI.
  • Experience in writing shell scripts will be a plus.
  • Experience in any Automation framework, such as ROBOT, will be a plus.
  • Energy and Utilities industry experience is a plus
