Our Agency client is seeking a Tech Lead, who has extensive experience managing customer expectations, leading off shore teams, and rolling up their sleeves to lead Development efforts.  You will be working with top of the line clients, while ensuring delivery of critical front end applications.  You must be comfortable and excel in smaller environments, where you will be juggling multiple things at once!

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration.   • Translate designs and wireframes into reusable components and front-end libraries
  • Develop new experiences using MV* frameworks
  • Participate in key meetings as part of the typical sprint cadence of an agile project workflow (standup, product demo, retrospective etc.)
  • Participate in ideation sessions with design, strategy and technology teams working together to define a creative approach
  • Estimate and communicate the benefits, challenges, and constraints of approach to project deliverables
  • Provide technical support for workstreams in long-term management and support
  • Closely collaborate and communicate across multidisciplinary teams, including strategy, design and program management
  • Clearly communicate problems and propose solutions, in writing and in conversation
  • Experience with building out documentation for technology solutions


  • 5+ years of engineering experience with HTML/CSS/JS (ECMAScript 6 experience required)
  • 5+ years experience with established development processes (e.g. code reviews, pattern libraries, distributed version control, unit testing, frontend build systems etc.).
  • 5+ years experience building interactive web applications with MV* frameworks (React, Vue/Nuxt.js)
  • 5+ years experience with CSS Preprocessors (e.g. SASS, LESS) and templating languages ( e.g.Handlebars, Velocity)
  • 5+ years of experience integrating with enterprise technologies (CMS / Commerce systems, 1st and 3rd party APIs, Analytics, Tag Management etc.)
  • 3+ years of client relationship management experience
  • Provide leadership and mentoring for Engineering team
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams in parallel
  • Delivery experience with Coupled, Progressively Coupled and Fully Decoupled Architectures
  • Commonly integrates with REST APIs and data exchange protocols like GraphQL, JSON and XML
  • Experience with accessibility-driven design and Section 508 Compliance
  • Backend Development experience with Node.js required
  • Strong organizational, communication skills, both oral and written
  • 1 year of experience with Progressive Web Applications (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with Next.js (bonus)
  • Experience with Backend Development using PHP and/or Java (bonus)
