Eliassen Group Agile Technical Team Coaches work with specific software development teams to assist them in implementation and improvement of their Agile Technical Practices.

Responsibilities of the Technical Agile Coach:
  • Help build and create a Dojo environment, where technical excellence and best practices can be practiced and mastered
  • Conduct practice observations and communicate immediate feedback (coaching) to teams and individuals on technical practices and agile cultural components
  • Establish rapport and build relationships with teams. Create a trusting environment for software development teams and facilitate collaboration
  • Immediately identify impediments and anti (success) patterns and coach on the best ways to resolve
  • Optimize current architecture to support modernization efforts
  • Provide hands on subject matter expertise on a wide range of Agile topics including: DevOps, TDD, BDD, Paired Programming
  • Optimize current architecture to support modernization efforts
  • Advocate for teaching and learning of new technical stacks
  • Transition large legacy environments into cloud/modern/digital environments
  • Shift the development teams mindset to be more team oriented and help create buy in and ownership!
Requirements of the Technical Agile Coach:
  • 3+ engagements working as an Architect, Technical Lead or Technical Agile Coach with multiple software development teams
  • Ability to coach and train teams on adoption of “the agile mindset”
  • Hands-on coding experience required
  • More important than specific technical stack skills, is the ability to learn new ones
  • Cloud Native architecture knowledge is desired
  • Jira experience is required
  • Expertise in problem solving, and solution oriented mindset
  • Code Craftmanship, ability to hit the ground running
