Our client, a financial industry leader, needs a Technology Risk Assessor to provide expertise and guidance around proper data use, data protection initiatives, and help share internal processes, standards, and policies.

Responsibilities of the Technology Risk Assessor:
  • Guide stakeholders on the appropriate use of data aligned with data usage policies and regulations
  • Ensure customer data is properly protected and used as well as protect the organization from business risk related to misuse of data
  • Stay abreast of the latest innovations across analytics, data governance, and data privacy to maintain expertise

Requirements of the Technology Risk Assessor:

  • 3+ years of experience in access management to ensure appropriate data use
  • Experience with data management and governance software (Alaton and/or Collibra preferred)
  • Strong understanding of data privacy laws and policies such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and their implications
  • Experience outlining acceptable uses of data and working with legal, risk, and compliance teams
  • Experience working with stakeholders to provide education and guidance on data, handling sensitive information, and data sharing
  • Basic understanding of cloud and big data technologies - Snowflake, AWS, and Azure
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Microsoft applications
