*Hybrid in Denver: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote**

Our Fortune 500 client needs a talented WiFi Development Engineer with Python experience, an understanding of databases, and a strong interest in wireless technology.

This is a 12 month contract. We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55 - $60 / hr. w2

Responsibilities of the WiFi Development Engineer:
  • Evaluate and customize embedded Wi-Fi and cloud software for advanced in-home Wi-Fi routers and the supporting cloud infrastructure
  • Evaluate and customize automated frequency control (AFC) services and software supporting advanced in-home Wi-Fi routers
  • Evaluate AFC service providers algorithms and protocols needed to support Wi-Fi operation in the 6 GHz band
  • Develop and validate correct operation of software and cloud services enabling automated device configuration, reporting of real-time telemetry, and control of embedded devices
  • Lead and participate in design reviews of embedded and cloud software
  • Write well-organized and efficient code
Requirements of the WiFi Development Engineer:
  • Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of WiFi development experience, with a strong familiarity with RF/wireless fundamentals, Wi-Fi, and/or next-generation 5G technology
  • High level of proficiency working with Linux, C++, Python, and Git
  • Experience developing wireless embedded systems and software for Wi-Fi AP and IoT devices, including OpenWRT, OpenSync, MQTT, etc.
  • Experience developing and deploying cloud micro services and features to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Experience working with container and container orchestration systems and tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, etc.
  • Understanding of IP networking
  • Willingness to work in a lab environment
  • Ability to work with colleagues across teams
  • Effective communications skills
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
