Eliassen Group is assisting a Cybersecurity product client in Herndon, VA with finding an experienced Windows DevOps Engineer to support their application security products across their public and private sector clients.  You will be responsible for system architecture, automation, infrastructure as code, configuration management, monitoring, and tools development for enterprise software and systems. The candidate should possess a strong background in running Microsoft Windows based infrastructure at scale with a passion for automating everything.  This is a contract to hire or direct hire opportunity with a ton of growth potential as the company continues to grow.

***This is not a teleworking position and due to government clearance requirements, only US Citizens that are clearable to obtain a TS/SCI will be considered***

Responsibilities of the Windows DevOps Engineer:

  • Develop innovative automation solutions to replace manual processes
  • Resolve issues in coordination with developers and systems engineers
  • Build utilities and tools for internal use to enable efficient infrastructure operation
  • Resolve problems at their root cause with simple and repeatable solutions
  • Help design automated solutions with the goal of self-repair

Requirements of the Windows DevOps Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience
  • Additional experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Extensive experience in a MS Windows enterprise development environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server / Desktop automation with PowerShell
  • Experience using configuration management software like Chef, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, SDLC
  • Knowledge supporting and implementing Microsoft Active Directory Services
  • Experience in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere a plus
  • Understanding of network engineering and security a plus
