Formal Job Description:

As a key stakeholder in the Digital Technology space, the API Technical Delivery Manager will act as a leader within the API Enablement & Management group. The role will manage dependencies across enterprise workstreams, track all work, and to support key functions to drive delivery. The Delivery Manager will serve as the integration point between the Digital Channel Technology’s API delivery team and any consuming internal or 3rd party consumer to ensure successful delivery of API solutions. Additionally, they are accountable to deliver joint technology & business solutions and provide overarching governance and budgetary support for the organization. 

The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of program management fundamentals and in-depth experience leading technology programs. Requires proven executive communication skills and ability to lead effectively across a highly-matrixed structure. Must have experience with APIs. 

Responsibilities Include: 
  • Manage technology requests from inception to completion including gathering requirements from multiple sources, coordinating development activities to ensure deadlines are met and high-quality is maintained. 
  • Create a clear, coherent approach and framework to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control. 
  • Serve as a technical resource to the team, utilizing available resources and ability to handle both standard and non-standard situations. 
  • Perform analysis and documentation of business and technology processes. 
  • Work across vertical processes, making connections to drive results and collaboration. 
  • Develop deployment deliverables (communications, training, etc..) 
  • Help to resolve issues and mitigate risks, escalating issues where appropriate to leadership 
  • Collects data tied to project deliverables and collating into comprehensive presentations for executive leadership team. 
  • Be willing to jump into workstreams already underway to help ensure on-time delivery of projects.
  • Establish and track appropriate agile metrics for the API program (i.e. capacity, velocity, burndown charts) 
Requirements: 
  • BA/BS and 5+ years of work in a technology organization or equivalent work experience 
  • Expertise in technical program management including planning, estimating, dependency mapping, and status reporting 
  • Prior experience leading large scale horizontal projects or transformation efforts 
  • Able to identify and secure resources and support from senior leaders across the company 
  • Intellectual curiosity, data/fact driven, and ability to connect dots across the enterprise 
  • Demonstrated strength of communication skills at the senior executive level 
  • Strong technical background in digital technologies with an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle 
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment and overcoming technical and business challenges – comfortable pivoting focus quickly
