We have an outstanding opportunity for an Automation Developer with our industry-leading client in Irving. In this role, you will create, extend, and maintain services to enable business expansion.

Responsibilities of the Automation Developer:

  • Analyze requirements and technical specifications and implement assigned development tasks
  • Develop, maintain, and debug cloud-based microservice APIs
  • Maintain and extend existing on-premise software systems
  • Troubleshoot issues both pre-production and post-production
  • Ensure adherence to TDD/BDD, page maintenance, and peer review standards
  • Communicate effectively through writing and verbally to act as a collaborative team player
  • Work under the supervision of a senior engineer to complete tasks efficiently and to high quality standards

Requirements of the Automation Developer:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a developer
  • Recent hands-on experience with Java, Spring/SpringBoot frameworks
  • Strong technical knowledge of building mission critical service-oriented software
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment: Scrum and/or Kanban
  • Experience with NodeJS, AngularJS, or ReactJS
  • Fluency in Java 7 and basic understanding of Java 8
  • Strong technical knowledge of IP, HTTP, JSON, and XML
  • Experience designing front end dynamic web applications
  • Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases using JDBC, JPA, or similar
  • Basic technical knowledge of cloud-based systems
  • Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins
