AWS DevOps Engineer

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity available for a DevOps Engineer to work on a Full-Time Permanent Basis in Atlanta, GA.  The salary range is $90,000 - $95,000/year (based on experience) plus 14% bonus and excellent benefits.   
 
Responsibilities of the AWS DevOps Engineer:
•    Build and maintain internal systems that our engineering teams rely on for day-to-day development
•    Partner with engineering teams to architect, build, and maintain SDLC pipelines for both application and infrastructure deployments in a public cloud environment
•    Monitor, manage and troubleshoot infrastructure supporting our SaaS platform across all SDLC environments
•    Partner with development and data teams to tune and optimize infrastructure and application software

Requirements for the AWS DevOps Engineer:
•    In-depth knowledge in at least one high-level programming language (C#, ruby, python, etc.)
•    In-depth expertise in public cloud automation technologies (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.)
•    In-depth knowledge in either Windows or Linux operating system fundamentals
•    Working knowledge of networking and security practices
•    Considerable experience with production infrastructure
•    Prior experience designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure with AWS 
•    Background in DevOps engineering, site reliability engineering, systems administration, or software development
•    Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and effective manner
•    A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and personal motivation

Preferred Skills for the AWS DevOps Engineer: 
•    Production experience with Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines (CloudFormation, Terraform)
•    Production experience with microservice architectures and SDLC pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, Kolla, etc.)
•    Production experience with AWS-native technologies (Lambda, DynamoDB, Fargate, etc.)
