Our client is seeking a Back-End Engineer to develop and maintain scalable services for a global commerce platform. The role emphasizes Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs to enable secure and reliable e-commerce workflows. You will integrate with Shopify and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Your work will support performance, security, and interoperability across services.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop APIs and microservices for e-commerce workflows.
- Ensure security, reliability, and performance of backend systems.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and QA teams for end-to-end delivery.
Experience Requirements:
- Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- E-commerce systems including payment gateways and invoicing (preferred).
- Experience with Shopify integrations (preferred).
