Are you a skilled Big Data Engineer with broad experience in cloud-based big data technologies? If so, we may have the ideal opportunity for you with our industry-leading client in Rockville!

Responsibilities of the Big Data Engineer:

  • Leverage big data and cloud technologies to produce production quality code
  • Engage in SDLC engineering activities, including sprint planning and estimation
  • Conduct performance tuning and scalability engineering
  • Analyze system requirements and design responsive solutions

Requirements of the Big Data Engineer:

  • Experience with Cloud-based big data technologies
  • Experience with Spark and proficiency in Hive/Spark SQL
  • Experience with one or more: Scala, Python, Java
  • Ability to develop innovative alternative solutions
