Job Description

This position will join a company in Columbia, MD who leads the pack when it comes to Behavioral Health Data Systems and Clinical Trials Software Solutions. The project scope supports opioid response initiatives for the State Level government. 

The targeted skill-set includes Business Analysis for requirement definition, Gap Analysis, Requirements Traceability Matrix upkeep, and business process improvement. Data Analysis for pulling and analyzing data from various sources within a Data Warehouse environment, heavy use of SQL. 

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

  • Deliver business requirements, functional specifications, business rules, data analysis, and data mapping
  • Engage with clients to elicit comprehensive user stories and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Conduct gap analysis between application and customer requirements
  • Work across teams to communicate and verify desired functionality of changes
Requirements of the Business Analyst:
  • Exceptional data analysis experience in data warehouse environments
  • Ability to leverage SQL skills to pull and analyze data from various sources
  • Ability to develop and prepare use cases, requirements, specifications, and data mapping
  • Ability to understand and represent end user needs within software development environment
