Are you an experienced Content Strategist or Digital Marketer in NY? We have a client in NYC with an exciting new role for a Content Strategist to join their marketing team. The ideal candidate is a hybrid content strategist and writer/copy editor who understands the role of native advertising and how brands can leverage it to build trust, gain audience, and capture new customers. This candidate will help shape advertising campaigns, concepts, and projects from inception with copy and content strategy working with internal and external stakeholders. The role will initially be remote, however the individual will be required to be on-site once COVID restrictions have been lifted. Only candidates located in NYC will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing/sales team in pitches and presentations for content strategy

  • Conduct content audits, audience research, category research, and competitive analysis to deliver content strategy that will help complete company marketing goals

  • Client-facing role, excellent communication skills are needed to pitch ideas and sell concepts at kick-off,

  • Ability to lead the full development cycle to include developing overarching strategy/themes, thought-starters, develop article outlines that clearly track back to the advertisers’ goals

  • Responsible for the development and posting of B2B promotions – LinkedIn, media kit site, etc.

  • Oversee content development working with writers, copyeditors to ensure that content aligns to outlines, creative briefs, and best practices

  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish and articulate internal and external key messages, and ensures that content meets campaign goals.

  • Able to write and copyedit pieces when necessary

  • Work with designers to align content with UX and campaign strategy ensuring that assets are to specs

  • Ability to create action plans from the interpretation of data and analysis

  • Have extensive knowledge and experience with digital marketing

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related discipline and 2 years of experience. Or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position.

  • Experience managing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube social media platforms, including content creation, posting, placing ads, targeting audiences, and building/engaging social media followers.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong overall computer skills.

  • Experience with large non-profit organizations or advocacy communications a plus.
