Job Description

Our client is seeking a talented Data Architect to work with them in Reston, VA.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen with an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities of the Data Architect:
  • Generate data models to optimize performance in databases
  • Create data structures for data interchange 
  • Set standards for data and convert data to controlled vocabularies
  • Generate metadata structures including dictionaries, taxonomies, and ontologies
  • Create semantic data and metadata representations
  • Create information governance policies to oversee risk and usage of data
Requirements of the Data Architect:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 9 years or more experience
  • Experience with Cloud AWS, Mongo DB, SQL, NoSQL, Columnar DBs
  • Experience with Big Data in a Cloud Environment
  • Ability to create and populate data structures in Data Lakes and Data Warehouses for Health Data
  • Experience with PII data, specifically with health data
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and understanding with health terminology
  • Ability to pass a NARA Background Investigation
