Job Description

Eliassen Group is seeking a desk side support technician with experience supporting Windows and Mac platforms. This is a long-term contract position located in Raleigh, NC.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Desk Side Support Technician:

  • Answer, evaluate, and prioritize telephone, email, and in-person requests for assistance
  • Investigate and resolve computer software and hardware problems for end users
  • Determine cause of problem and work to effectively troubleshoot and ultimately resolve issues
  • Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow up for routine problems
  • Escalate more complex issues to Tier 2 technical support groups
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are achieved

Requirements of the Desk Side Support Technician:

  • Associate's degree, or around one year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have a basic understanding of computer and hardware troubleshooting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems, recommend solutions, and follow through to resolution
  • Customer service or help desk experience, retail environment preferred
  • Experience with PC software, including MS Office and Internet Explorer
  • Effective organizational and task prioritization skills
  • Clear and effective communication skills, verbal and written
  • Open to having telephone calls monitored for quality assurance
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
