Job Description

This is a contract to hire opportunity. All applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities of the Desktop Support Technician:

  • Troubleshoot desktop hardware and software issues
  • Support user voice and internet communications
  • Maintain accurate help desk ticket logging
  • Help with inventory and asset tracking
  • Deploy desktop patches and software upgrades
  • Setup new user profiles and desktop systems
  • Support rotational after hours and weekend coverage

Requirements of the Desktop Support Technician:

  • At least 3 years of desktop support experience or at least 2 years of field support experience
  • Ability to resolve problems quickly and accurately and work effectively with main office IT support
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Skilled in Microsoft Windows OS, Office, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Strong ability to multitask and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to develop expertise in enterprise business and culture
  • Ability to interact comfortably at all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of MS servers and Cisco networks
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
  • Ability to analyze difficult technical issues
  • Strong desktop troubleshooting skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong phone skills
