DevOps Engineer

Our client, a software company who is a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity available for a DevOps Engineer to work on a Full-Time Permanent basis in Pittsburgh, PA.  The salary range is in the $68,000 to $103,000/year and the position provides excellent benefits including, Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with matching, disability, Paid Time off, and much more! 

Responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer:
• Help build and support tools and infrastructure for product development teams in all software lifecycle phases.  
• Enable product teams to achieve faster development, faster time to deploy, and speedier testing cycle without compromising quality. 
• Linux administration on Red Hat and CentOS platforms.
• Drive new solutions in a constantly changing technology environment.
• Streamline and mature the CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab, Maven, and Artifactory.
• Automate processes by writing scripts in one or more languages such as Python, Go, Bash, Perl, Ruby or JavaScript. 
• Automate deployments using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack.
• Setup, maintain and manage immutable infrastructure using Docker. 
• Setup and automate Cloud Infrastructure and cloud-based applications using AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Use monitoring and metrics tools such as TICK, Nagios, Prometheus, Graphite, Grafana, or Heapster.
• Deploy, test, and troubleshoot applications developed in one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Python or Go
• Work in an Agile Software Development Lifecycle environment

Requirements of the DevOps Engineer:
• Linux – Red Hat, CentOS or equivalent
• Scripting – skill with 1 or more language such as Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, Go or equivalent
• Background as a Linux System Admin, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Software Engineer, or equivalent skill set. 
• Bachelor’s degree is a must
• Previous experience with DevOps tools and Public Cloud Services is preferred but not required.
