We have an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer with our industry-leading client in Washington.

Responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer:

  • Utilize best practices to automate an AWS infrastructure
  • Create automation in relevant project areas
  • Work with all levels of the company to determine how to meet user identity needs
  • Respond to incidents and create reports
  • Review code and consult with other engineers on new features and their implications for site performance and security
  • Improve automation and fault tolerance of the deployment process
  • Conduct load tests 
  • Balance agile development with mandatory government security compliance policies
  • Define key success metrics for infrastructure
  • Create and improve monitoring systems to collect data about the application

Requirements  of the DevOps Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • At least 8 years software or infrastructure engineering experience
  • At least 1 year of hands on experience with Infrastructure as a Code tool for automation
  • Expert level knowledge of at least one programming language
  • Experience working in an AWS Cloud Environment and in an agile environment
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
