Are you well versed in Java/J2EE development, with a strong command of Drools tools?

If so, we may have the ideal role for you with our client in Rensselaer.

Responsibilities of the Drools Developer:
  • Analyze systems and project requirements to inform design, development, and testing approaches
  • Draft and deliver well designed, testable, efficient code in line with specifications
  • Leverage relational databases to build highly complex Java/J2EE applications
  • Help to resolve technical issue and support continuous improvement
Requirements of the Drools Developer:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated history of building and maintaining high-volume, large-scale, scalable software on a Java stack 
  • Demonstrated history of adhering to software development life cycle best practices
  • At least 9 years of programming experience: OOP, Java Collection API, multi threading
  • At least 7 years of extensive experience working with J2EE and Spring technologies
  • At least 5 years of relational database experience; SQL query writing skills - preferably DB2 SQL with PL/SQL
  • At least 3 years of experience with Drools tools; experience writing business rules and integrating with Java/J2EE
  • Ability to contribute to all phases of the SDLC
