Responsibilities of the Fiber Construction Manager:
  • Ensure projects are completed according to specifications on time and within budget
  • Manage the development of permit and construction plans
  • Oversee and coordinate site construction activities, licensing, and permitting
  • Regularly communicate project progress and general updates to leadership
  • Manage and schedule contractors and subcontractors 
Requirements of the Fiber Construction Manager:
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with outside plant and inside plant cable construction in aerial and underground facilities 
  • Throughout knowledge of local and state permitting and any issues that may arise
  • At least 3 years of supervisory contractor construction experience preferred
  • Strong project management, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple construction contractors 
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license
