Responsibilities of the QA Engineer:

  • Work with other members of a production team to translate product requirements into the development and maintenance of Structured Asset Lists (Asset Briefs)
  • Carry out QC tasks as required ensuring that the QC function performs effectively    
  • Work with the Sr. QC Specialist to implement and maintain QC processes throughout the whole business
  • Monitor and enforce compliance and level of work standards across the QC functions
  • Ensure that jobs are carried out efficiently and tracking is maintained accurately and in accordance with company standards 
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge 
  • Develop technical product knowledge through training
  • Actively seek to improve, and expand, personal knowledge of product. 
  • Look to investigate and understand new product groups, and provide knowledge support for all staff
  • Management of JIRA and other ‘defect tickets’ with the Production Management team through triage, and active communication with clients and vendors
  • Assist with and perform other production related duties (help with retouching, file conversions, preparing deliveries, etc…) as required and directed by the Sr. QC Specialist and Studio Management
  • Conducts initial and any additional rounds of QC checks that may be necessary and provides notes on any/all issues that would prevent the project from meeting contractual delivery obligations of product accuracy and proper functionality

Requirements of the QA Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft office programs is required 
  • Ability to organize and understand highly complex .psd’s based off asset briefs and order guides is required
  • Must have knowledge of action scripting, and layer comp creation to build accurate trim levels and trim colors for product and client reviews 
  • Must have an understanding of automotive terminology
  • Domestic travel may be required
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of SQL is a plus
