Responsibilities of the Healthcare Business Solutions Analyst:
  • Act in a leadership role in matrixed project teams to deliver enterprise initiatives
  • Leverage research and business evaluation skills to translate complex business problems into requirements; ensure solution fits business needs
  • Facilitate project request process, coordinate to approve and schedule projects, and document business requirements
  • Design appropriate business processes, document functional specifications, cost-benefit analysis, and implementation plans
  • Collaborate with vendor/s to ensure high quality product delivery in line with project parameters, timelines, and budget 
  • Work across departments to analyze and develop business processes and requirements to ensure high quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery
  • Act as a SME for business analysis and procedural issues
Requirements of the Healthcare Business Solutions Analyst:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of BA/PM experience in the insurance or healthcare industry
  • Experience with electronic data exchange standards related to interoperability (FHIR, C-CDA, HL7 V2 messages)
  • Experience leveraging FHIR implementation guides to offer subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders
  • Experience with payer data (claims, remittances, labs, pharmacy, and clinical)
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability challenges across payers and providers
  • Knowledge of HIPAA right of access and patient consent mechanism
  • Experience translating business needs from health policy to technical teams
  • Excellent facilitation, moderator, and ability to ask the right questions
  • Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills
