Job Description

Eliassen is looking for three Information Security Analysts to support a government project in Washington, DC. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a global government contractor. Please keep in mind, this is in a 24/7 environment so there are multiple shifts open but no rotation.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities of the Information Security Analyst:

  • Work in a 24x7 team to monitor security posture, detect and respond to incidents
  • Document and escalate incidents according to customer policy and procedure
  • Analyze and identify trends in security log data across multiple security devices
  • Configure and implement a range of technical security solutions

Requirements of the Information Security Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in incident detection and response; or,
  • Associate's degree and at least 8 years of related cyber security experience
  • Expertise in at least two: vulnerability assessment, intrusion prevention/detection, authorization, application security, incident response, encryption, advanced threat protection
  • Excellent information system security in incident response experience; solid root cause analysis and documentation skills
  • Security+, CEH, or CySA+ certification highly preferred
