Job Description

Eliassen Group is currently seeking an IT Audit Manager for a large financial services client. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of technology auditing concepts with experience in managing audits of IT processes and IT infrastructure. Additionally, this role will provide exposure to multiple business units across the firm and the selected candidate will actively partner with stakeholders to facilitate audit plans.

Responsibilities of the IT Audit Manager:
  • Lead technology audits, technology project reviews, and technology audit work in audits of business processes (integrated audits), to identify and evaluate key operational risks and related controls.
  • Engage with executive management and stakeholders to stay informed of changes and new initiatives within the business and technology areas and sharing audit perspectives relating to risk identification and mitigation.
  • Develop new audit technologies, revise existing procedures, and perform risks analyses of areas to determine the frequency of audits.
  • Identify and analyze complex issues, problems and improvement opportunities and develop conclusions and recommendations.
  • Verify or review audit evidence, prepare audit plans, workpapers, findings, status reports and audit report.
  • Lead follow-up reviews to ensure that appropriate corrective actions have been implemented by client management.
  • Train and develop Staff Auditors and Junior Auditors while maintaining effective working relationships with assigned business areas.
Requirements of the IT Audit Manager:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or Business.
  • MBA/MA a plus.
  • 8+ years of related work experience combined with management or leadership experience within IT audit, preferably within a financial services, Big 4 consulting, or Fortune 500 professional services firm.
  • Professional certification(s) strongly desired (i.e. CPA, CISA, CIA, CISSP, CFE, PMP, etc.) or the desire or progress towards such.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more IT audit areas of specialty (i.e., application security, business continuity and disaster recovery, implementation, computer operations, database administration, information security and privacy, mainframe, network, and infrastructure architecture, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and standards governing the high tech and financial services industries.
  • Experience with COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL, FFIEC Standards strongly preferred.
  • ERP system knowledge a plus.
