Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Java Software Architect with our industry-leading national security client in Alexandria.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities of the Java Software Architect:

  • Analyze customer requirements and business processes
  • Architect, design, code, and implement full-stack Java web applications
  • Follow a collaborative Agile development process
  • Ensure delivered product meets requirements and is of high quality

Requirements of the Java Software Architect:

  • Expert knowledge of Java and experience with Struts or Spring
  • Experience with Agile software development life cycle processes
  • Experience with an ORM tool: Hibernate, iBatis, JPA
  • Experience developing REST services with Resteasy
  • Experience with Subversion, Ant, Maven, or similar
  • Experience with MySQL or Oracle desired
